To paraphrase an ugly Italian stereotype, the inhabitants of Italy seem sometimes to be interested only in pizza, music and wine. For 10 years, however, we have been able to add another item to this list that, until some time ago, was completely unthinkable: beer.
The craft brewery movement is still growing in Italy and offers a good alternative to those who want to taste a cigar with a less alcoholic product but which still has the body and structure to set against our TOSCANO®.
The marriage appears at first sight somewhat bizzare and that is why the choice could only fall on an equally bizarre beer: the Maledetta from the Birrificio del Borgo, a beer just made to combine with the TOSCANO® cigar. In this case, we choose the TOSCANO® Classico, a cigar that is over 80 years old and owes its longevity to its admirable quality and price, as well as to a recipe that has now become a tradition.
The tobaccos that compose it are carefully selected and the right balance between grace and strength and the evident notes of malt combine well with an American pale ale such as the Maledetta, where the intense and perfumed hops and the citrus notes caress and soften the hints of wood and almonds from our TOSCANO® cigar.
